Two years of college tuition at no cost, a savings of $50,000. That’s what Singley Collegiate Academy will offer their first class of 125 freshmen starting August 2020.
Thanks to the partnership with North Lake College, students will start taking college classes their freshman year and spend their last two years on the college campus full time. Once students graduate from Singley Collegiate Academy, they will have a diploma in one hand and an associate’s degree in the other.
Dr. Harleigh Jones, associate principal of Singley Collegiate Academy, is incredibly excited to lead the district’s first collegiate academy. “This is a very unique experience and an amazing opportunity for students to get that collegiate experience while in high school.”
To be part of this incredible opportunity, current 8th grade students are encouraged to complete an online application at IrvingISD.net/SingleyCollegiate. The application window is available now until Friday, January 17.
